Everyone Loves a Three-Way

I never watch Jeopardy! on Fridays, but the rest of the week, if the TV is on at 7pm, you better believe I am shouting answers at Trebek. So it makes me sad that I missed last night, where they had a three-way tie between the contestants, each player ending up with exactly $16,000.

The three contestants on the venerable game show all finished with $16,000 after each answering the final question correctly in the category, "Women of the 1930s," on Friday's show. They identified Bonnie Parker, of the famed Bonnie and Clyde crime duo, as a woman who, as a waitress, once served one of the men who shot her.

"We've had a lot of crazy things happen on `Jeopardy!' but in 23 years I've never seen anything like this before," host Alex Trebek said.

I'm just excited that ol' crazy hands will still be there on Monday. That guy is Ken Jennings material, I expect him to be the reigning champ for a while. I mean, check him out. The last couple of nights he had won the game before Final Jeopardy.

He was destroying the competition last night with $13,400, and both his competitors had $8,000. They both risked it all, and how much did Scott Weiss bet? 2600. What a sly dog. That's tremendous showmanship right there, purposely tying the game to enter the record books.

Well done, sir.
